2010.6.10. Ireland - 150th Anniversary of the birth of artist Roderic O'Conor
Cover from Eire dated 31.05.2010. Two stamps was issued in 27.05.10 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Roderic O'Conor. These stamps show a painting of his famous work "The Breton Girl" painted during his time in Pont-Aven in 1906, and a self-portrait of the artist from 1928. Thank you, Paola.6/1/10
2010.5.26. Ireland - 250th Anniversary of the Guinness Brewery
Cover from Dublin, Ireland affixed a commemorative stamp. Stamp was issued in 28-Aug-2009, to celebrate 250th anniversary of the Guinness Brewery founded in 1759. About the cancellation, UPC is a private company and why it could be a postal cancellation mark in Ireland post, very interesting. Thank you, Paola.
