2010.10.20. Germany - Stamp Day 2010 Treasures of Philately - Postal Poster

The "Stamp Day" is one of the highlights of a year philatelists. The federal government in the German Philatelic Association (BDPh) organized collectors' associations and clubs to advertise around this feast day with a variety of stamp exhibitions, special shows and events exchange for their hobby. With the annual publication of a special postage stamp to this day various activities will be accompanied and supported. As a rule, pays tribute to the stamps a particular event, a special anniversary or a significant event in the field of philately.
This year, the brand a historical poster "Imperial German Post to Helgoland, Norderney, Sylt" (1890), which is owned by the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Hamburg. The German North Sea islands were until the mid 19th Century, especially in winter - only supplied with irregular Post. With the establishment of sea bathing became established regular steamship routes to the islands. On behalf of the Imperial Post carried the steamer and the post and from the island resorts.
